I remember a time long ago before the internet when if you wanted to see crazy shit you had to know someone who had a bootleg copy of a videotape that would show you and it would blow your mind. Among these were James Brown’s Future Shock, Heavy Metal Parking Lot, and the above William Shatner video. There was a real currency in having access to these much coveted items. However, now anyone with a little initiative can have access to what was previously incredibly obscure. I’m not trying to be one of those aging hipsters who tells you like it was like back then, mainly because I think it is so much better now how there is an infinite library of culturally significant but for the most part completely irrelevant video clips instantly available to anyone who wants to watch them. Anyway, this Shatner clips was one of the original mind blowers and Beck referenced it in a video and everyone has probably already seen this, but in case not, this is a keeper.
