I just watched the final episode of season 2 of This American Life, called “John Smith.”  It chronicles the lives of seven John Smiths throughout America, and creates a singular life from their shared experience.  It is a very powerful and moving look at what it is to spend a lifetime on this earth, the different paths you can take, the potholes you can hit or avoid, and the cyclical nature of this time we spend here.  I love This American Life on both radio and TV and this is one of the best things that I think they’ve done.
