Youth In Revolt

I went to a screening of Youth In Revolt last night, and I got to tell you, I loved it.  It was great on a lot of levels, but I particularly loved seeing Michael Cera play something other than characters similar to what he’s played in past movies.  Well, he does play a character very similar to the the characters he’s played in past movies, but he also plays a hilarious alter ego, Francois, who really shows his breadth as an actor.  Miguel, who was my mentor for directing, creates an incredible heightened tone that is absolutely hilarious.  Great casting all around, particularly the female lead, Portia Doubleday, who I’d never before seen in anything before, but who is super awesome.

Go see Youth In Revolt.  It’s really good.
