Born To Run

I haven’t been as happy in a long time as the 2 1/2 hours I just spent with a smile plastered across my face and occasional tears streaming down my cheek watching Bruce Springsteen rock the roof off of the LA Sports Arena.  As much as I love Bruce Springsteen I have never before seen him in concert, and now I am very angry at myself for having wasted the past 20 years of my life not going to go Bruce Springsteen concerts.  I remember when Born In The USA came out my best friend Andrew Meltzer went with his dad to see the Boss, and has since gone to see him very many times.  They always told me how amazing he was in concert, and I don’t know why I didn’t pay attention and get my act together to go see him.  My buddy Jake Lentz was at the show and he said going to see Springsteen for the first time was like joining a really awesome church, and I have to say that I am now a convert and will go back and see him as soon as I can.  Bruce knows what is right.  Bruce Springsteen is America.  He is what’s good about America.  He has a vision and is smart and reflective and recognizes all of the potential of America, even though we have lost our way recently.  I want to live in Bruce Springsteen’s America.  A land that is truly a land of the free and home of the brave.  Born in the USA.  Let’s do it. Together.
