In this article in the New York Times, it’s revealed that 1 in 100 Americans are in jail. That is insane. What does that say about our country. Even more ridiculous is this statistic: One in nine black men ages 20 to 34 are in jail. That is completely crazy to me. I don’t understand how that is possible, or how we can not question ourselves and the legitimacy of our justice...

Thank God the strike is over. I never appreciated it at the time, but the strike was truly a nice little reprieve, but now I think of it as the calm before the storm, because now that it’s over, everyone wants everything yesterday.
